Comments
Comments: ICE is the prevailing word of the day. It was pretty much everywhere, hiding underneath 1-5" fresh snow. Wore MSR snowshoes from tram to Cannon summit. Switched to full crampons for descent to Coppermine Col. Would say full crampons are required here given current conditions. Having done this section a few times in winter, conditions were exactly as expected. Resorted to front pointing down a few of the steeper sections. Most of this section was very steep. Micros would not be enough.

Trail over Cannonballs was not recently travelled, but there was only 3-5" new snow atop ICE and many short steep scrambly pitches, so I stuck with crampons. Route over the C'balls was a gorgeous winter wonderland. Much more foot traffic upon reaching Kinsman Jct.

Trail over Kinsmans and back had the usual steep, icy pitches. Traction makes life much more pleasant here. (Actually met two guys barebooting). Descended Mt Kinsman Trail, which was quite icy as well...

Thanks to Fancypants for the car spot and for meeting me on the ridge. :)
