| Comments: |
Snow on trail started quite low - somewhere between 2,000' and 2,500' in elevation. Confusing temporary sign on Cascade Brook Trail, pointing into the woods. Kinsman Pond Trail pretty rough near the top - essentially a brook bed. Upper Kinsman Pond Trial and Kinsman Ridge Trail had lots of blue ice - traction definitely recommended - Microspikes were barely enough in a few places. Snow never more than 3" deep, becoming sticky later in the day as temperatures rose. Hiking on Cannon ski trail to get to Mittersill is not necessarily kosher. |
