| Comments: |
I decided to spend the day simply wandering around the western part of the Castle property. Foliage looking into the range was great but inside the trails the dominant color was still green. Besides the trail volunteer I did not see anyone until I got up to the Mount Roberts summit - although I did encounter two bears on the Cold Spring Trail. On my way down there were a couple very brief waves of a sleety wintry mix - it looked like some areas to the north experienced the same. I even happened upon an tiny old graveyard just in time for Halloween. Quite a fun day! |
