There is new hiker parking spot with room for about six vehicles just north of the new Trailhead, about 50 yards north of the gate at the end of Carter Notch Road. There is additional room to park along that dirt road. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Many of them but none were difficult, despite the rain the day before and last week. Levels still relatively low. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Wildcat River Trail impeccable. The blowdown Nordic Gal noted two weeks ago is already gone. Quick work! Wild River Trail needs some brushing but is easy to follow. Bog Brook Trail in good shape, with a short detour around the beaver pond at its north end. |

| Comments: |
I plotted this from the AMC WMG Map, then discovered that Nordic Gal had hiked practically the same route two weeks before, when it would have been drier. I met some people on the Wildcat River Trail but none on the others, except a group of young backpackers having lunch where I turned around at the junction of the Wild River and Rainbow Trails, at Perkins Notch. |
