Comments
Comments: My forth time climbing this forsaken glacier. First attempt from Loon. We started out climbing the ski trails and service roads to Loon Summit, then over to Loon North, clear walk. Entered the woods just below Loon North, located a nice herd path until the gps and compass had us heading into the scrub. Tight scrub all the way to Scar Ridge, (why do I go back a forth time for this abuse?)slow, slow going navigating many, many blow down fields. Reached the summit, registered, snack, headed down, fumbled a bit under the use of head lamps, relocated the heard path out to Loon North, down the service roads, back to the truck. Epic adventure. I think I'm done with Scar, but I've said that before.....
