Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: On Signal Ridge Trail, easily rock hopped. First on Carrigain Notch Trail was slightly trickier, but still rock hoppable. Beyond that, the others were either dry or minor at current levels.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Still some of the bigger ones remain on the lower Signal Ridge Trail. Will require a chainsaw to remove.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: In today's heat, it was crucial to have heat for the dog above the second water crossing on Carrigain Notch Trail. There are also some scrambles on the herd path above the scree field that required help.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes and deer flies, top to bottom. Not overly bad, but they made their presence known.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Some sort of off mosquito thing was sitting on a tree trunk on the Carrigain Notch Trail.

Comments
Comments: Trails and bushwhack/herd path were mostly dry with a few minor mud pits. Fairly good herd path from about 2,800' upward.
