Comments
Comments: Mary, Rudy (my 100 lb chesapeake bay retriever) and I started off on the East Pond Trail from the Kancamagus side to the height of land of about 3100 ft. We then set off to the south sub-peak through some fairly easy woods to start. Then after climbing a bit hit some thick and nasty stuff until just below the sub peak and then easy walk to a water jug resister. From there we took off to the “East Peak” some really thick and nasty stuff and I don’t know how but we found the canister by sure luck because its thick up there. Rather than retracing our steps back we headed straight down with more of the same to the East Pond Trail hitting it at about 2800 ft. Did I mention the million or so blowdowns alone the way. Great Adventure!
