Bugs: Some bees and flies starting to come out.

Comments
Comments: Typical mix. Dry trail, roots, rocks, increasing monorail with elevation. I used microspikes from where you first come along side of slide to East Osceola and same back down. Slow going each way as it was quite slick. Used snowshoes between summits on way up and micros for most of trip across on way out. Micros seemed easier. That time of year when there isn't a nice trail pack to preserve so pick your poison. Nothing seemed ideal as you would have short stretches that were best for bare boots, light traction or shoes constantly changing. I recommend pants to save your shins and light traction for steep section coming off East Osceola. All seemed to use bypass today as there was lots of running water coming down the Chimney.
