Comments
Comments: The lower portions of the trail are good to go. The slabs on the upper portions are probably 55/45 dry and lightly running water but many areas in the trees have some seriously slick melting ice. These spots are generally brief and can be carefully bareooted. I only wore Microspikes on descent of Welch and into the col where the icy stretch was a bit longer.

I had both summits to myself and just soaked in the abundant sun and incredible views all morning. This hike was proof positive that good things come in small packages.
