Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: i parked at the glencliff lot and walked back down high st. to north-south road. north-south road is currently plowed for logging and in theory based on signage one could park a short distance in at the townline trailhead which was plowed, but i would not suggest it mon-fri when they are logging and it is worth noting the first pitch of road down from high st. is pretty icy.

Comments
Comments: north-south road was plowed and hardpacked with snow and ice. the haul trucks take up the whole road so be ready to step aside if one comes by. noting that blueberry mountain trail had seen some recent travel i headed up that way on a decent track which in places only had an inch or two of blown in snow and crust and in others was completely blown in and indiscernible. i lost the trail a couple times up on the ledges, but rejoined it before the top. from the summit of blueberry i bushwhacked along the ridge towards jeffers. snow was deep and i was going in 1-2 feet on average. scrappy woods to start then it opens up to very nice hardwood forest which was loaded with snow and made for slow going. once back in coniferous woods before the summit the travel was a bit easier to the highpoint. from there i dropped straight down to north-south road through beautiful open woods and followed the plowed road back to high st. the logging must be on the other side of the height of land somewhere as i never enountered an active cut in the portion of road i walked.

nice hike. pretty quick up blueberry with the broken track then quite slow over to jeffers. such great woods along the ridge though. had been looking forward to getting back in that area in winter after traversing it in summer. good views from blueberry as well as from the open woods along the ridge and east slope of jeffers. good to be out.
