Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I crossed crossing at old dam about 20ft. up steam. Easy rock hope. I did not cross on concrete as I had in the past.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: York pond trail is in decent shape. Kilkenny has lots of blowdown, but is well blazed on the weeks. Headed to Terrace, there seemed to be fewer/fainter blazes.

Comments
Comments: Very favorable winter conditions for the Weeks. Snow was very firm and great for snowshoeing. Blazes had to be followed with care, especially headed up middle. I lost the trail several times, but always rejoined with ease.

Having already hiked S. Weeks in the winter, I headed back from middle, thinking I may head to Terrace on the way out. I found the trail to be very difficult to follow (KRT north from York Pond trail) as it passed through glades w/o much blazing. I also could not see my snowshoe tracks at all in many places. I somewhat reluctantly scratched the plan a short way up, not wanting to struggle on the return.
