Comments
Comments: From the parking area at the end of Nash Stream Road we followed the Cohos Trail(CT) to Gadwah Notch because the trail was very dry and the going was excellent. There were several open areas along the trail which afforded wonderful views of Muise and the ridge to the North of it. Passing through Muise Bowl and eventually Bulldozer Flat the sun was shinning brightly and it was an extremely pleasant morning. Once reaching Gadwah Notch we turned toward the summit and pushed through some scrappy fir for about .4 miles. It began to open into a mix of open and scrappy from there to within about .1 mile of the summit where we encountered a steeper section passing over several 'bumps' before hitting the summit. For our return we decided to drop down directly toward Bulldozer Flat (BF) and this was the right move. After the first 400 meters it opened up and moose paths were very abundant which we followed right to BF where we picked up the CT for the walk out. If I were to do it again I would strike out for the summit from the BF area. Thanks for a very enjoyable day with Karen and Peter.
