Comments
Comments: Success Pond Road is not nearly the awful mess I was expecting. It's ok for low-clearance vehicles. Upon reaching the trailhead (there's a sign that looks like a street-name), I turned my Subaru (high clearance) right and followed the rough, overgrown road a few tenths of a mile to the large grassy field (just before the path becomes a footpath and disappears into the woods). Four other cars were there when we came out, all high-clearance.

Do not bypass the 0.3 mile Outlook Loop off Success Trail. Stunning views on narrow ledges. Well worth the detour. Gorgeous.

The summit was lovely. Open ledges, beautiful skies, views that went on forever.

Finding the plane crash site was easy, thanks to directions easily found on the internet with a few Google searches. It felt a bit odd to see it in person.

Another prefect hiking day. Photos will be on my blog late tomorrow evening.
