One bog bridge board on the western end of the Wildcat Ridge Trail fractured and came off. No issues to pass however. |

Only saw one today. |

Without a breeze they came out and were very annoying. |

I found a nickel on the Upper Polecat Trail. Go figure. |

| Comments: |
Despite a forest order to the contrary the ski trails listed above - and only those listed above - are open to hikers. There are signs posted along the trails verifying this along with a map and an arrow pointing the way. A WMNF ranger confirmed this for me also.
What the ski trails lack in aesthetics are more than made up for with good footing, more gradual grades and near constant views of Mount Washington and its neighbors.
Being the first one in the parking lot I had the entire trek to A peak to myself. On the way out I only saw maybe a dozen or so other folks on the trail. Yet another fine day to be hiking! |
