Comments
Comments: the trails were mostly dry down low. some deep leaves on carter ledge trail in places. higher up where it had rained the rocky sections below the col was a bit slick. off trail from the col to blue mountain the woods were quite wet. woods were a mix of open going, hobblebush and some slightly scrappy evergreen growth. the highpoint is to the east of the summit plateau as shown on the usgs. a bit farther to the north is another interesting ledgy bump worth visiting as well.

great hike to blue. pretty humid with some passing showers. pretty sure at times i was able to see traces of the old route of the middle sister trail up on blue. lots of moose sign up around the summit. the ledgy bump near the highpoint had some limited views over to the other blue peaks. may be nicer on a clear day. great to be out.
