| Water Crossing Notes: |
One major stream crossing had low water/easy to cross on rocks without getting wet boots on the way in. All other small stream crossings were very easy. We hit the trailhead at 8:15am, and by 3:00 on the way back to the car via the Greeley Ponds trail there was a noticeable increase in the snow-melt streams. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
1 or two blow-downs obscuring the trail- easy to navigate around trees. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Dog prints in the snow made me think that dogs have made it up this trail recently- must be some hardy pups to make it up and down the snowy/slushy/icy trail. |

| Bugs: |
no way. |

| Comments: |
The majority of the Osceola trail has significant snow cover and unstable monrail with some post holing. I can't imagine doing this hike without traction. The climb down from East Osceola was quite slick- moving between mud, slushy snow, monorail and ice. On the trail down, my hiking buddy and I noticed that the trail snow was significantly melted after an afternoon of sun. |
