| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This trail had seen little activity. Just a couple of postholers. The wife and I used our snowshoes to properly establish the trail to the summit. The last 1/4 mile had snow drifts of 2-3 feet. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Took our Akita. She summitted and returned happily, but some of the deep snow patches wore her out. She was tired. |

| Comments: |
We past four hikers throughout the day, none with snowshoes. Out of those 4, only one summitted. I took my snowshoes and didn't expect to use them, but instead, wound up wearing them for the entire hike. The snow once you hit the ridge with all the views was like powder, and at least 1 foot deep... drifts 2-3 feet. Lots of snow and full-on winter conditions - excellent day to be out! |
