| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes, Traction, Ice Axe |

The one stream crossing was well snow-bridged. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns here and there, but no real issues at current snow levels. Signage seemed fine. Blazing on Mt. O Trail was faded. Minor brushing needed (in a couple of spots) down low on Mt. O Trail; otherwise in good shape. |

| Comments: |
Snowshoes car to car (except for Chimney Bypass). A few open drainages on the GPT. From trailhead to East Osceola, route had been broken after Fri/Sat storm, but had more recent new snow and drifting. The steeps going up East O were a workout! Route from East O to Mt. O appeared untraveled (due to no traffic or new snow and heavy drifting). For Bypass, I opted for crampons up and down. (The Bypass of the Bypass looks like it needs more snow to be passable.) I appreciated an ice axe for descending East O; most may find poles sufficient. One other hiker on the route today (he used microspikes on the Bypass). |
