great hiking today. trace of snow in the parking lot to less than an inch across the ridge. just enough snow so you can't always see the icy patches. nary a drop of mud today! large icy patches on the ski trails were easy to avoid. one large icy spot between peaks d and c. a few inches of new snow could make this a lot easier, but it was pretty nice today. sun came out, not much wind. a surprising number of hikers on the trail. a hearty congratulations to John who was finishing his 48 over the age of 70 today! my first solo of these peaks |
