Comments
Comments: Boy am I sorry I waited so long to do this hike. Just a glorious day to get out. It was a refreshing change to be on trail with very few hikers and actual dirt under my feet.

Bog Brook is in fantastic shape. Pretty dry (for now)though I did manage to post hole to my knees in some well camouflaged mud. Ran in to two Moose about 1.5 miles in. They were nice enough to pose for a pic, then turned and wheeled.

Rainbow is where you get your work in. Nice climb with nothing too outrageous. Very sudden transition from birch to spruce. You can almost stand on the transition line. A little grown in but easily passable.

I was glad I was going down CM to hut instead of up. Chilled at the hut for a few and chowed up.

Wildcat River follows some nice easy grades back to the lot. If you're looking for a not so brutal 11ish mile loop, get out there before the deluge of next week.
