Comments
Comments: Probably one of the best reasons to camp at Nesowadnehunk, is the trailhead within the campground. The first mile or so of the trail is nice and soft, with some ups and downs, to the brook crossing. After that, it steepens up, and gets rough... a lot. You then reach an old sign, that points the way to the peaks... 1 mile and 1.2 miles respectively... that's some dubious math if you ask me. Maine miles, I suppose. The steep/rough continues for a bit more, leveling off a bit and softening up, then more steeps up to the summit. Breathtaking views to say the least. Chatted with a couple from New York on the North Peak, and went quickly over to South Peak, with also sports mighty fine views. Returned to take a break on North Peak. Descent went quickly after that, and I made my way to the lean-to to rest up and prepare for the next days hike! This one's worth a repeat.
