| Comments: |
Due to the recent rain storms the water flow over the ledge on the Eyebrow Trail was stronger than usual. Also, the cascade next to the lower section of the Old Speck Trail was running strong for August. Good views from the Eyebrow outlooks and a haze limited view from the summit tower.
Met many AT thru hikers and section hikers as well as an AMC group and a group from LL Bean. Most of the hikers were enjoying the mountain except one AT thru hiker didn't like the trail maintenance and paucity of white blazes. I disagreed with the trail maintenance but acknowledged that the trail was not continuously blazed although the trailway was obvious. |
