Today was day 2 for a quick backpack for a clean up for the AT. It was quite muggy with no air movement. I was hoping for some moose sighting with all the water around but I was not so lucky. I went up to the caves and then down to the shelter to see the special privy with the game and two toilets! I made my way up to piazza rock which is work the uphill for sure. After the rock it was quite nice footing to route 4. When I left the lake in the morning, it was quick rocky and rooty so footing was careful. Still saw about 20 people before the parking lot where I said hi to the ridgerunner for the area. |
