 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
From Rte 27, Beaudry Rd (marked Gold Brook Rd) then unmarked Pine Tree Rd and we parked just north of Peaked. It looked drivable to the end but had some loose rock on one steep section. We walked it back from Leroy. |

 | Comments: |
We made a loop of the two peaks. We headed up through thick regrowth with moose paths, then some steep mossy woods with some scrambles around and through cliff bands. Signed in the jar on the obvious summit. We followed the ridge to the SE in good open softwoods and moose paths and eventually came to the other cliff band to descend around. We passed through a small talus slope with a fine view to where we were headed. The footing around here was very soft and mossy and you had to be careful not to posthole. We went over to the large clearcut and followed the edge of it, and then through it on paths at times, in waist-high raspberry and regrowth. Back in the nice open woods we went for a long gradual walk, eventually hitting Leroy summit. We signed in and then descended back to Pine Tree Rd through the typical variety of woods, open up high, some hobblebush midway, and clearcuts down lower. It was a beautiful day and I was impressed with the interesting views from this hike, though they were mainly from the large clearcut in between. |
