Comments: Took me a while to find the beginning of the bushwhack. The way is to re-trace 50 yards back from the parking lot and take the paved road down the steep hill towards the lower golf course. Stay on that road until you reach the bridge and cross that bridge and follow up to the 11th tee. The bushwhack starts there and meanders through the woods and a chopping, probably 1/2 mile, until it reaches the Caribou Valley Road. The AT up from the CVR was challenging. Some folks had recently spiked? up that trail in relatively deep snow. I wore snow shoes due to the depth and loose powder, but full crampons would have been much easier. I had no desire to descend that steep slope so I decided to take the AT across North Crocker and all the way to Rt 27. A few badass bare booters had come up that way so it was partially broken out but was quite easy in my shoes. I started to follow some tracks out towards Reddington but gave up on that trail. No fun IMO. Once I got to Rt. 27 I easily hitched a ride back to my car. The hardest part was the 4 hr drive home. My God the Whites are so much easier.
