Comments: There was the beginning of a decent snowshoe track. I saw that and immediately put my snowshoes back in the car. Just kidding; I don't own any snowshoes. It looked like the trail had been broken out by snowshoers since the last storm and recognizing that it was not yet solid, I had to trash all that hard work with lots of postholes. Why? First, the trails exist for me and me alone. Second, safety is no concern of mine, and I'm definitely not concerned with the safety of others. Last but not least, I'm a selfish asshat.

Seriously, all kidding aside, snowshoes start to finish today, but someone had trashed the beginnings of a decent snowshoes track. Postholes galore. Some pretty deep. Must have been exhausting. Really, really frustrating. People, please use snowshoes.

There was some new snow, less than a couple of inches at lower elevation. At elevation there was drifted snow, maybe 6" plus in places. I did not see anyone else on the trail today, so it is not properly packed out as of yet. Could use more TLC from snowshoers.

The track runs off the trail proper in a couple of places, but not much, and the detours are short.
