Comments: Another day of tough trail breaking. Larry S had been through Thursday so we hoped his single set of tracks would offset us losing Uncle Bob and only having 3 in our party today. It did but as expected it was still tough sledding. We wore snowshoes door to door. Got a late start and ran out of time up above the talus field. Didn’t want to have to negotiate it in the dark. Would not have minded having my ice axe and/or crampons for this section. It is currently windblown, hard slab.

Conditions in the trees will obviously change with this weather, but wanted to submit for road info, snow bridges, and talus field in case it helps someone else. There is at least a nice base now with our snowshoe track for whatever comes next…who knows maybe it won’t get touched until we are back in a few weeks.
