Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: I have driven between Fryeburg and Bridgton for years looking at this mountain saying it would be a great mountain to hike - just found out it actually has trails! Took the longer west ridge trail. Right near the trailhead it passes a couple of old foundations. Trail meanders through some nice woods - trail is obvious and well blazed and turns clearly marked; one muddy spot as trail veers off snowmobile trail it follows for a short distance. Otherwise trail was dry. Trail becomes steeper as it ascends the mountain. Passes a view ledge about halfway up and ends at a nice viewpoint overlooking Pleasant mountain but no views today as everything was clouded in. A second tail Old Mount Tom trail joins the west ridge trail .1 mile below summit; a shorter and less steep way to access the mountain; this trail can be combine with wet ridge and a road walk of of a couple of miles for a loop.
