On rt 1 from Ellsworth, take a left on rt 183 and go 4.5 miles and take a left on Schoodic beach road. Go 1.9 miles to trailhead, fits a dozen vehicles. |

Another great summit… 360 views with Acadia National park front & center. Hike is pretty steep. Went up Schoodic mountain trail and came down the Schoodic beach trail to the beach of donnell pond to make a loop hike of it for a 3.3 mile hike. Very scenic summit, could see Katahdin in the distance. Beautiful day. |
