Needed something short and sweet for day of our departure to return south. This 2.0 mile out and back hike to Acadia Mt fit the bill perfectly. Rock work is simply amazing. There is an impressive number of granite staircases many of which showed evidence of splitting by genuine stone cutters. Views of Somes Sound and Northwest and Southwest Harbors and west side of MDI was very rewarding. |
