Comments
Comments: There was about 1 inch on fresh snow starting at 2000 ft and 3-4 inches of new wet snow on top. The overall depths in places are over 2 feet. I recommend medium traction (not full crampon ) for the last steep 1 mile sectoin before hitting the col between the Bigelow peaks. Overall the trail is pretty wet at this point so waterproofed boots would help.

With the temps, wind, chill factor and snowy scenery, it felt more like March than almost May.
