Comments
Comments: Well it was a brisk morning but moving was decent. The summit of sugarloaf was the windiest I have experienced in a solo condition. I went off to find the AT spur and at first missed it but then found the blue stick marker and guess what... I was broken out by snowshoes! Well about a minute or two in the trees there was barely any wind. So I headed down and over to spaulding on a nice snowshoe track. It looked like people had been up the AT from Caribou Road about a day before so Spaulding was even better tracked out than the spur to Sugarloaf. I then backtracked the way I came and headed down the ski area. The wind carried all the way down to almost the base of the mountain but it was quick going and made it back to the car quick!
