Comments
Comments: followed the rd uphill (cairn). Followed jniehof's (VFTT) directions up the herdpath until the boggy flat area below the col at 3400'. this was dry today, so we headed straight across and up the open woods on the other side. Short section of stick forest, and then found the herdpath on the ridge. Coming down we lost the herdpath above the col, more stick forest, then open woods and regained a path until a short section of young spruce and blowdowns to cross. Found the main path at the stream bed and easily walked down to the car. I liked our way up better than down.
