| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The suggested access road off Jack Mountain Road as described in the MMG is blocked about 1 mile in. Instead, I used the next driveable road to the east (almost directly N of Jack Mountain) noted in OSM as "Week Pond". This connects to the road described in the MMG just N of Weeks Pond; I was able to drive it with my honda fit, parking near the SW corner of Round Mountain Pond (beyond which the road is less sound) but there were a few muddy spots and the road is really skinny with a grassy center strip, no room to pull over if someone is coming the other way. HOWEVER: the road on the north side of the mountain (from which the trail starts) from the direction of Rowe Lake has been improved and hardened; not sure where this road connects but I suspect it comes from the N by Rowe Lake from Realty Road. The trail starts on this road behind a well maintained cabin with a green roof but is unmarked. |

| Comments: |
The trail is located behind the green roofed cabin as described in the MMG. Trail is quite steep but well marked and routinely maintained and marked with spare bits of ribbon here and there; requires a little care to follow in places. Some blowdowns. There are trees growing up through the old tower but the ladder is sound. |
