| Comments: |
We ended up with great weather for Emma's first time up Katahdin! We ascended via the Abol Trail to the summit. There were undercast views to start the day, which cleared later on. Before descending the Hunt Trail, we made a loop around the Tableland on The Cathedral Cutoff and the Baxter Peak Cutoff. These trails don't see as much traffic and they provided great views from angles not seen on the other trails. |
