A fine day in the Penobscot Nation! Trails and woods where wonderful. We out and backed from Slaughter, and kept joking about with lovely and flat the trail was, how bad we where going to have to pay at the end - ha. The last half to 3/4 is a butt kicker but really fun bouldering. The bald ledge summit of South offers commanding views of the park and was absolutely worth the effort. The North summit offers the same. The ridge walk between was pleasant and has some unique views and vistas. |
