Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Road is a bit rougher than what the beta from the 4000footers.com entry (of Oct 2014) indicates and I found I parked about a mile from the start of the hike since my CRV doesn't have 3' clearance to get over some of the exposed rocks and culvert pipes.

Comments
Comments: A great day for a bushwhack! Reminders for folks to pack trekking poles (first quarter mile off the road was clearcut with all felled material left on the land and you'll walk atop felled trees, woody shrubs, and brush to break into the dense forest to begin your ascent) and wraparound sunglasses or goggles to prevent eye injuries. I found the cairns for the point of entry but didn't find a herd path until I reached the summit, descending, I lost the path fairly quickly as well. No harm done, it's the journeying through trees dense as wire brushes that's all the fun! Some snow at the upper reaches so I postholed a bit but it was soft and no traction needed. Lots of moose scat and hoof prints, but I didn't see any around.
