Comments
Comments: Delightful trail 2.3 mi gradual climb on old woods rd thru mixed forest along shoulder of Goose Eye Creek with lots of scenic cascading waterfalls and swimming holes to marked tentsite where trail used to split into 2 sections forming a loop hike. North (R) section is roped off and hasn't been maintained for years. South section crosses the creek and ascends rather steeply to open ridge with fabulous views E: Sunday River Whitecap and N: Mahoosuc Range to Old Speck. Trail continues for ~1 mi up and over 2 knobs with numerous outlooks/views reaching the AT in the col between Goose Eye Mt (S) and G.E. East Peak (N). Turn L to ascend .3 mi to open summit with 360-degree glorious views on a bluebird day like today. Thanks Liz and congratulations on 83?/100 NEHH.
