Trail is pretty solid in most places, but is steep enough in spots that full crampons are warranted. We wore snowshoes, which were required for exploring the mountain beyond the trail. Annoying conditions off trail, thick but breakable crust, but nothing brutal. Lots of skiers out and about, but the crust was annoying for them as well. Figure with the snow tomorrow, and the warm temps after that, microspikes are a no go. Figure skis wont work this week either. Snowshoes are the way to go. |
