Comments
Comments: Beautiful views from Bald and Speckled Mountains, particularly the latter! Left snowshoes in the car based on the shallow snow depth at the trailhead. Trail was well packed monorail to Bald Mountain, but there were a few short stretches beyond there where snowshoes might have been preferable due to windblown drifted snow (in the col between Bald and Speckled and also nearing the summit of Speckled). However, snow was still shallow enough that any potholing in those areas was minor.
