| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot not plowed, but has been driven/trampled. It's icy and lumpy. A couple low clearance cars went up the road to the plowed boat launch to park, then did the road walk to the trailhead. This adds 0.4 miles each way. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Easy |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Could refresh some blazes, otherwise everything is fine |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
There's a nice rock scramble at the top. Most dogs will be 100% fine, but older dogs might struggle. There's no water going up the North Peak, but between South Peak and Stone Mountain there is water available. If you are going out and back, bring water. If you are going around the loop, you'll be fine without it. |

| Bugs: |

| Lost and Found: |
There's a pile of stuff at the trailhead. |

| Comments: |
Did the loop counterclockwise. Ascended North Peak, then over to South Peak, then down the Twin Brook Trail. Spikes all day, no question. Trail was mostly frozen ice and hardpack for 99% of the hike. A couple little muddy spots, and few rocky spots down low and just before the summit. Some people barebooted, but it could not have been fun with the slippery conditions. Doesn't look like there is any new snow from Saturday's storm. |
