| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
AT very good. Just note that 'natural' footing is typical for N NE. [Nota bene: AT above tent site is ~45 degrees, irregular footing, requiring care when going up/down. First half of Remington trail from S Cr goes quite far down before leveling and then up, and is more of a bushwack than trail-experience on NE trails helpful to ability to follow.] |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
none today. would require a VERY good trail dog for ascent and Remington 'trail' |

| Comments: |
A hike to 3 viewless summits was right for a day when clouds never dissipated; intermittent falling water from trees was a result of stiff wind over treetops, but wind rarely got down into forest. Recent rain/snow resulted in frequent standing and running water (good boots a must), but no snow or ice. A nice enough day despite dismal skies for us to enjoy stops at summit clearings. Always good to experience new trails; aiming at next up in the area.
Kestrel data: (almost identical for all 3 summits) T=50F W=6mph WC=46F [Note clouds just over tress around clearings moving very rapidly.] |
