Comments
Comments: I was the first car in the lot and the first person to summit and the trail was perfect. There was a good snowshoe track started but the snow was still soft. Snowshoes are definitely needed. Higher up the wind had erased the path but the trail is still easy to follow as the blazes are still visible. I re-broke the trail but the wind still managed to erase my tracks. On the descent I encountered a large group of youth with 2 leaders. All the kids were in micros and had destroyed the trail. It was a minefield of gouges and postholes that caught my snowshoes. I did my best to try to smooth it out but given they still had to descend the trail, anything I did will be trashed. Total bummer as the trail had been shaping up nicely.
