| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Williams pond road was ok until stopped by a fallen spruce across the road. Fortunately Jim arriving at same time from Massachusset pulled the tree with his truck and its snapped leaving a 6' wide opening to get thru with our car. Later on we add to jump a small snow bank left by the plower. We parked at the end of the road. |

Doublehead trail from Nesowadhehunk
Very easy trail with a 3 inches of crusty snow. Microspikes were ok for the first part until the middle brook crossing. After that I started postholling and switched to snowshoes fot the rest to the top where at least 2 feet of snow set in the wood. Got the last glimpse of the very pink sunset and got down by headlamp. |
