After the rain Saturday I expected the trail to be a little wetter. There was definitely water and some mud, but nothing too bad. No snow left on the mountain, but there was some ice heading from the SW peak down into the col as you head towards the main peak. Once you hit the lowest point of the col, the ice stopped. I thought about putting on spikes just for speed, but it was a fairly short section and I managed fine with bare boots and poles. Super windy at the summit with a few snowflakes. Only saw 4 other people out today. |
