Parked roadside along State Route 16 in Lincoln Plantation. The trailhead can be VERY easy to miss- Route 16 is a fairly fast going road, and there are no signs indicating that it's the trailhead for Aziscohos, so it's very easy to fly right by it. Heading toward Rangeley, drive about a mile past the bridge over Aziscohos Dam, and the trailhead will be on the right about 50-100 feet past a gravel road at a bend in the road. As mentioned, no signs, but there is some flagging. |

The trail shows signs of light use, but is easy to follow. Some of the red blazes look relatively fresh. |

The trail up Low Aziscohos had some dry spots, but was mostly wet with a lot of slick rock and mud/standing water. Expect to get a least a little wet if you hike this trail under those conditions. Excellent views from the open summit. Arguably one of the best bang-for-your-buck hikes in the region. |
