The eyebrow was wet from the snow melting, but it was relatively easy to hike with care. Nice views from Old Speck, especially the snow-capped Presidentials. By the afternoon the rocks were dry and that made the ascent to Sunday River Whitecap enoyable and the views knocked it out of the park! We spoke too soon and said that even with the leaves covering trail it was still evident as to where the treadway was - and 90% of the time this was true except for after the Bald Mountain tentsite, where it was a little challenging to stay on trail. Saw 3 others on the trail today.
Magnificent weather and a nice hike today - Big congrats to my friend Rick S. on finishing the NE67
