| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Once you turn off route 27, North Road is in good condition besides 2 bridges you encounter along the drive down the logging road. A logging operation has recently started in what once was the parking area. The last 2 bridges are in VERY rough shape and pretty sketchy as the logging trucks appeared to have really done a number on the overall condition. The bridge at 2.3 miles was passable, but after much deliberation - there are MANY nails sticking out of the wood, a broken cross beam on the right and many holes in between other beams. The last bridge is completely wrecked and I didn't feel comfortable driving my subaru across. I parked just before the bridge and road walked a little under 2 miles to the trail head. The original boulders you would normally park at were removed as logging is currently happening in that area. |

| Comments: |
The ATV trail is very easy to find and follow as according to past reports. The right hand turn onto the a drainage area and eventually herd path is marked by a broken yellow arrow and a cairn on the right side of the trail. Stay alert for other cairns when crossing intersections as they mark the path. The last push to the top gets a little steep, but nothing too crazy. The summit register is a wooden bat box next to the run down cabin and fire pit on the left before you hit the actual summit and tower. |
