Comments
Comments: The first 0.2 mi of the Carlo Col Trail (to the Goose Eye Trail junction) was on an old woods road, with occasional views of Goose Eye Mountain in the distance. The Goose Eye Trail was lightly trodden in places, but was otherwise in good shape. Got fairly steep in places near the top, with some slick rocks and ledge to mix things up. Incredible views in all directions from the summit. I had only done one real hike in the Mahoosucs (Old Speck) before this, but now I see why so many people love this range, and I'm kicking myself for not having done more hikes here. Better late than never, I guess!

Goose Eye was also #77 on the New England Hundred Highest for me, which was a bonus.
