Room for about 6 vehicles at Safford Brook Trailhead. I was the only one there all day. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
2 wooden bridges on lower Safford Brook Trail and all the other crossings were easy hops. |

All blowdowns cleared from these trails recently, Thanks Maine A.T. Club. |

Black flies and mosquitoes were bothersome all day, had to keep moving. |

| Comments: |
Early start on this great weather day, temps from 50 to 80, clear blue sky with views in all directions from the peaks and viewpoints. Saw 3 hikers today, 2 snakes and many toads. It was hot in the sun and not much of a breeze. |
